Laguna Los Coipos

Laguna Los Coipos is a tranquil body of water located in the southern area of the urban zone of Puerto Aysén, just a few minutes from the city center. Its name refers to the coypu, a rodent native to the aquatic environments of Patagonia. The Municipality of Aysén developed the Paseo Recreacional Laguna Los Coipos along its shore, featuring a pier and a pedestrian promenade that allow visitors to enjoy the lagoon safely and even practice minor water activities. A short, low-difficulty trail of approximately one kilometer is popular among walkers, joggers, and mountain bikers, making it an ideal outdoor family outing. It can be visited year-round, with access by vehicle or on foot from the city.
