Lake Zenteno is located south of the Aysén district, approximately 95 meters above sea level, in an environment dominated by the Patagonian evergreen forest, with species such as the Magellanic coigüe, the canelo, and cypresses. Together with Lake Portales, it forms a lake system of great natural and archaeological value, featuring overhangs and caves once occupied by ancient hunter-gatherers. The surrounding area is home to native fauna such as the puma and, in the most inaccessible sectors, the huemul. It is a destination for recreational fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and cycling tourism, ideal for those seeking largely untouched nature.
