Lago Zenteno

Area: Sector río Blanco, sur de la comuna de Aysén

Lago Zenteno is located south of the Aysén commune, approximately 95 meters above sea level, in an environment dominated by the Patagonian evergreen forest, with species such as the Magellanic coigüe, the canelo, and cypresses. Together with lago Portales, it forms a lake system of great natural and archaeological value, featuring overhangs and caves once occupied by ancient hunter-gatherers. The surrounding area is home to native wildlife such as the puma and, in the most remote sectors, the huemul. It is a destination for recreational fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and cycling tourism, ideal for those seeking unspoiled nature. Access is from Puerto Aysén via the río Blanco sector, crossing the river by raft and following rural roads heading south.
