Cascada Helena
Area: Frente a Bahía Acantilada, fiordo Aysén
It is one of the best-kept treasures of Puerto Aysén. It is located opposite the Bahía Acantilada area, a bathing spot situated about 10 kilometres from the city, on the shore of the Aysén fjord. Unlike other waterfalls in the area, which lie along the roadside, this one stands out for its unspoilt surroundings, enveloped in evergreen forest, and for its cascade that flows down close to the fjord. The most common way to discover it is to head to the coastal area of Bahía Acantilada, from where the waterfall can be admired, or to join the boat tours and kayak excursions that take place along the Aysén fjord. It is an ideal setting for photography and for experiencing Patagonia's nature in its purest form.
